The Andrus Legacy Society
The Andrus Legacy Society honors the work of AARP founder Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus, and
provides recognition to individuals who name AARP Foundation as a beneficiary in their
will or estate plan, or who make an irrevocable life-income gift, such as a charitable gift
annuity. These exceptional gifts perpetuate AARP’s legacy of caring and allow us to carry
out our commitment to serving vulnerable people 50+ by creating solutions that help
them secure the essentials and achieve their best life.
We recognize and thank the following individuals who, wishing to leave a lasting legacy,
have included AARP Foundation as a beneficiary:

Former Bookkeeper
Supports Foundation,
Gives Herself Secure
Lifetime Income
Lucy was a bookkeeper for over 45
years. Her husband made conservative investments over the years
to supplement their Social Security.
After he passed away, Lucy was
concerned about the uncertainty of
her income stream and wanted a
fixed income she could count on.
While far from wealthy, the 87-year-
old has a philanthropic spirit. By
participating in our Charitable Gift
Annuity program, Lucy contributed
funds to AARP Foundation. In return,
she receives fixed annuity payments (partially tax-free) from our
general assets for the rest of her
life—and the satisfaction of knowing
she has helped other people secure
everyday essentials and live their
best lives.
