AARP members saved over $8 million on travel when
booking through Expedia during 2009 and 2010. To
celebrate its two-year anniversary as the provider of the
AARP Travel Center, Expedia made available an additional 5 percent savings (over the already discounted
price) to AARP members on most hotels. The addition
of TripAdvisor reviews to the hotel booking portion of
the AARP Travel Center website enabled people who
visited a hotel page to see the overall TripAdvisor ratings
and user comments.
