Digital TV Transition Deadline: FEBRUARY 17, 2009
First In Flight. First In Digital.
After February 17, 2009, TV stations will
broadcast only in digital. If you watch TV using
rabbit ears or a rooftop antenna, you must take
action before February 17, 2009.
But, if you have an older TV with rabbit ears
or rooftop antenna, you need to act:
Connect your TV to a digital-to-analog
converter box. Or 1
If you have a new TV with a digital tuner, you can
already receive digital broadcasts. Or, if you get
your local broadcast channels from a pay service
like cable or satellite, digital broadcasting should
have no effect on you. If you have any questions,
call your provider.
Buy a digital television (a TV with a
built-in digital tuner). Or 2
Subscribe to a pay TV service such as
cable or satellite. 3
