The Wizard Oz
Dr. Oz isn’t just a brilliant doctor. He’s
compassionate and truly cares about
America’s health. Refreshingly, he is not
just hype—he’s the ultimate teacher. He’s
also gorgeous, in excellent shape, funny,
and a family man. He is one of a kind.

Caring for Mom
As a former caregiver for my mother
(for nine years), I identified with
much of Gail Sheehy’s article (“The
Secret Caregivers,” about men in these
roles). I hired help in the beginning,
but I became a full-time caregiver for
the last five years and had to quit my
job. It was demanding, but it was a
valuable and rewarding experience.

Thank you for including the cover pro-
file on Dr. Oz—“America’s Hardest-
Working Doctor”—along with “Dr.
Oz’s 6-Month Plan for Getting
Healthy.” I greatly admire the way he
combines alternative medicine and
Western medicine and promotes a
healthy lifestyle to help Americans of
all ages prevent disease. Dr. Oz is one
physician who truly practices what
he preaches.

The Beat Goes On!
Thanks for the enticing article “Rock
Icons Roll On.” I host a local radio
show called “Fine Aged Rock.” I play
new and old stuff from artists such as
Jeff Beck, Graham Parker, and Tina
Turner. Clearly America boasts lots
of enthusiastic rockers my age (I’ll be
60 in a few months) and lots of young
people who also love the best music
ever made. Rockers aren’t just chairs!
