CELEBRATE THE KING’S BIRTHDAY… Have Fun
…in Memphis! With last year’s
much-hyped 75th birthday
out of the way, the city will be
saner—and cheaper—for the
annual Elvis b-day celebration,
January 5 through 8. Events
include a Graceland trivia tour
(wander the home and answer
quiz questions, with a chance
to win prizes), Elvis bingo,
and an Elvis dance party. After
that, head to Florida for an
Elvis cruise, which sails for the
Bahamas on the 12th. Guests
include a hunka hunka costars
from the King’s flicks and a
boatload of bell-bottomed
Elvis look-alikes (800-238-
2000; elvis.com/events).
While in Florida, enjoy another
bit of Americana: Mid-January
is one of the least crowded
times to visit Disney World.

bargain for TVs and other goods at overstocked stores.
