Throw the hottest BBQ
in your neighborhood
Fourth of July
The heat is on! Three-quarters of grill-owning
Americans plan to crank up
their cookers on the Fourth
of ;July. And while burgers are
our favorite flame-cooked food
(runners-up are hot dogs and
steak), there’s no need to limit
your menu: Steven Raichlen,
author of more than 25 books
on barbecue, says he grills everything from Memphis-style
ribs to Yorkshire pudding on
his many grills. Besides serving good eats, Shannon Tual,
a Richmond event planner,
suggests buying a few yards of
inexpensive white fabric to use
as a tablecloth. Add a pitcher
of cold drinks, all-American
tunes, and a few cans of ;bug
spray and you’ll have yourself
a seriously sizzling party.
Did You
Know?
Americans
eat about 13
billion burgers
annually.
